Agents may wish to review the likelihood of wildfires in the areas where their insurance leads reside, based on indications that they pose a growing risk to many.

Business, home and car insurance leads may all be interested in ensuring they have coverage that can apply in case of wildfire damage. Businesses may also be concerned with business interruption or the loss of needed property and assets, among other factors.

The dangers have increased as more Americans have taken to living near forests and mountains, areas that typically are at higher risk of wildfire activity. Perhaps because of this, 2011 was the fourth-worst year in history in terms of damage caused by the phenomenon.
